CLASS TIME
Before class you will be given material to listen/watch/read to prepare for the classroom activities. In class we will be breaking up the time allowing you to use student-driven instruction along with inquiry-based learning. We will be breaking up the content into specific "units":
- WWI: Beginnings and Progression
- WWI: Ending
- Post WWI Germany
- Night Literary Expert
- Rise of Hitler
- Final Solution: Citizens to Outcasts
- Night Discussion
- Rescuers and Bystanders
- The Power to Choose
During class time, you will be instructed to fill out an "Identity Worksheet". This worksheet will guide you through completing the station tasks while also giving you space to reflect on the material personally and put yourself in someone else's shoes.

Participation
During class Mrs. F, Ms. H, and I will be using Class Dojo to document you positive and negative contributions in class. Due to the nature of class, semi-independent and student-centered, you are responsible for your behavior more so than a teacher-driven classroom. Each day you will have a set of goals, activities to complete, resources to look at, and conversations to have with your peers. You will be given a participation grade multiple times throughout the quarter. That grade will consist of three factors:
- Positive and negative contribution percentage. This grade allows you to see what type of impact you are making on the classroom.
- Percentage based on the class average. This grade allows you to see how frequent you make a positive contributions in class.
- Types of contributions you made. This grade demonstrates to range of contributions you can make. Below we have pasted a screenshot of both the positive and negative contributions you can make in class.
